About FilmDistrict announced that Insidious Chapter 2, the sequel to last year's horror sleeper hit Insidious, is happening and slated for release August 30, 2013. The original film's stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, and Ty Simpkins will all reprise their roles from the original film. Insidious director James Wan will also direct the sequel from a screenplay by the original movie's writer, Leigh Whannell. Blumhouse Productions will once again produce.
