Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said today the President's "credibility obviously is at stake" in regard to the IRS Scandal and that it will be "difficult" for him to lead "if he's mired in these scandals." Check out his appearance on today's CBS This Morning below!

In the interview, which was broadcast live today, June 3, 2013, on the CBS Television Network, McCain also discussed the conflict in Syria and hearings on sexual misconduct in the military.

"What I'd like to see is a no-fly zone, I'd like to see it with cruise missiles, no boots on the ground and no overfly'" he told co-hosts Norah O'Donnell and Charlie Rose. "The Israelis have just shown that they're able to take out selective targets. We need to negate the air power and give them the weapons they need."

McCain added, "It's shameful what's going on, and it's destabilizing all these other countries in the region. Jordan cannot last under this present scenario as we've seen, fighting has started in Lebanon, and this thing could spread and engulf the entire Middle East in a civil war."

Excerpts from the interview are below.

CHARLIE ROSE: As this IRS Scandal spreads, what's the risk to the President?

SEN. JOHN McCAIN: I think the President's credibility obviously is at stake here and we've got this trifecta of three scandals going on at the same time. And far be it for me to give advice to the President of the United States, but you may remember after Iran-Contra, Ronald Reagan went on national television and said "I'm responsible, we've done wrong and I'm responsible," and I'm not saying the President should do that, but the President I think should be thinking about how to get these issues behind him, we have a lot of things that he needs to lead on, and if he's mired in these scandals, it's going to be difficult for him to do that.
