VIDEO: First Look - Andre 3000 Stars as Rock Legend Jimi Hendrix in ALL BY MY SIDE

Below get a first look at Andre 3000 as legendary rocker Jimi Hendrix in the upocming biopic ALL BY MY SIDE. The film makes its U.S. debut on March 12 at SXSW. The project was written and directed by 12 Years a Slave screenwriter John Ridley.

All Is By My Side follows Hendrix's in the year before he became an iconic legend, and still playing back-for a guitarist Jimmy James in seedy New York clubs. A well-connected groupie named Linda Keith, discovers his talents and brings him to 1966 London, where 'Jimmy' transforms into Jimi. Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll soon follow.

The film ends with Hendrix being invited to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, the historic all-star concert that made him a legend.
