Tomorrow night at 8/7c, TLC's MY 600-LB LIFE presents the story of Doug Armstrong who, towering at 6 feet 6 inches tall, has always been a big guy. Weighing over 660 pounds, Doug has conquered both a drug and an alcohol addiction, but is now battling his last vice: food. As a self-described "secret eater," Doug hides his snacking but can't hide his obesity, and is losing the ability to help his loving wife, Ashley, raise their three children.
Ashley has long been carrying most of the responsibility in their household of Wichita Falls, Texas, including caring for twin babies, a toddler, and now Doug. After going through her own battle with weight loss and ultimately having bypass surgery, Ashley understands the struggle Doug is going through. However, Doug's lifestyle is now affecting her own progress, and she is demanding a change. Determined to shed the pounds, Doug hopes to get bypass surgery and tackle the compulsive demons that have plagued him since his traumatic childhood.
