Maksim Chmerkovskiy to Exit DANCING WITH THE STARS?

According to ETonline, DANCING WITH THE STARS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has revealed in a recent interview that he has not yet signed on to return to the ABC dancing competition when it returns next month.  Asked by ET Canada if he received a call to return to the show, the dancer replied, "I still don’t know if I’m on the show. I would still not tell you if I did but I'm not lying to you. I didn't get the call yet."

Chmerkovskiy holds no bad feelings toward the series which last season saw some conflict between him and the judges. "Look, I'm happy to return every season. Every off-season, something changes, something happens to make me realize how good I have it, and that's the most important thing." He added, "A little bit of competitiveness goes away and a little bit of appreciation takes over and I'm very appreciative of the show and what the show has done for me and for us. And, I shouldn't be really upset about the little things and appreciate the big ones."

DANCING WITH THE STARS returns Monday, March 19 on the ABC network. Contestants for the new season will be announced on Good Morning America on Tuesday, February 28th.
