Kevin Bacon to Star in Drama Pilot for FOX
As first reported on TVLine.com, actor Kevin Bacon will be starring in a drama pilot for the Fox network from Kevin Williamson, executive producer of 'Vampire Diaries'.
The actor will portray a retired FBI profiler in the series which will follow a manic serial killer who uses technology to create his own cult of murderers.
According to the report, Bacon has only committed to appear in 15 episodes of the show, should it be picked up by the network. The deal was made in order to accomodate Bacon's busy film schedule.
The actor's TV credits include guest starring roles on the soap opera 'Guiding Light', and cameo appearances on 'Will & Grace' and 'Bored to Death'.
Bacon has starred in over 50 films. He most recently starred in "Taking Chance" for which he received Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations.
