Kanye West Backs Out of Tonight's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE Appearance

According to the New York Post, Kanye West was a no-show for a scheduled apppearance on ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, airing all this week from Austin, Texas.

West was set to appear tonight and participate in the show's popular segment #MeanTweets, as well as in a skit in which he was to make fun of his controversial interruptions at awards shows. The Post reports that a special set was even constructed in honor of the rapper.

Joked KImmel of the non-appearance, "If you do not like Kanye West, make sure to tune in Friday night to not see him."

West's representative said in a statement, "We were never confirmed .?.?. We took extraordinary steps and worked directly with the show to make it happen. Logistics were insurmountable."

A rep for ABC's Kimmel graciously commented, "We look forward to having Kanye West back on the show."
