Judy Greer to Star in Upcoming ABC Pilot AMERICAN JUDY

As first reported in The Hollywood Reporter, Descendants' star Judy Greer will executive produce and star in an upcoming pilot for the ABC network to be called AMERICAN JUDY. 

The show will follow a chic urban woman who finds herself a fish out of a water when she moves to the suburbs with her new husband. She suddenly is confronted with the task of balancing step-kids, a mother-in-law and her husband's ex-wife while being a loyal wife to her new mate who is the sheriff of the small town. Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont will script the pilot. 

AMERICAN JUDY is the ninth comedy to be greenlighted for the upcoming ABC development season. Previously announced projects will star Jami Gertz, Kristie Alley and Rhea Pearlman. 

Greer's prior TV credits include Archer, Two and a Half Men and Mad Love.
