Jesse James to Star in Discovery's THE JESSE JAMES PROJECT, 4/9
According to TVGuide.com Jesse James will be making his return to TV on a new Discovery Channel special THE Jesse James PROJECT (Working Title). The program will be broadcast on Monday, April 9 at 10 pm/9c.
The special will be a pilot that has the potential to be turned into a new series for the network. James hosted Discovery's 'Monster Garage' from 2002 - 2006. Discovery will air a sneak preview of the new special during next Wednesday's Sons of Guns, which features a guest appearance by James.
Recently, James commented, "People like to see me build stuff. The further away from that concept I go, the less popular it is. Let's just go back to basics and build custom bikes and custom cars again."
American Chopper's executive producer Craig Piligian will serve as executive producer for the new show. "He (Piligian) makes successful shows that last a long time," said James. "He and I have a great relationship and the show we did is on its way to being really good." He added, "I think everybody at Discovery and everybody that watches me on TV kind of forgot what a d--khead I am. How much I tell it like it is. I think they've only seen me on a tabloid level. I don't candy coat anything. You want an honest opinion, I'm going to give it to you."
