Angelina Jolie's Daughter Cast as 'Young Princess' in MALIFICENT
Deadline.com reports that Disney has cast Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, in the role of the 'Young Princess' in her mother's upcoming film MALEFICIENT.
The four-year-old will appear in Disney's 3D live action film featuring her mom in the role of the sorceress from the fairy tale 'Sleeping Beauty.' Jolie-Pitt is set to portray the younger version of Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) who is "eventually cursed to sleep until awakened by a kiss from a handsome prince."
MALEFICIENT is set to be released in theaters in March of 2014. Robert Stromberg, the Oscar-winning production designer for Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, will make his directorial debut on the film, which will be produced by Joe Roth.
Vivienne is not the first of the Jolie-Pitt brood to launch an acting career. In 2008, her older sister Shiloh had a cameo as Pitt's daughter in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button for Paramount.
