Al Oerter Recreation Center Screens 'Blueprint: New York City Parks,' 6/29
Parks will screen 'Blueprint: New York City Parks,' a new and fascinating exploration of five iconic parks that shaped the city and inspire park systems around the country and around the world. The one-hour special aired on NYC Life on May 17th. NYC Life is the flagship station of NYC Media, the official network of the City of New York. The film focuses on Central Park in Manhattan, Prospect Park in Brooklyn, Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx (the largest park in New York), Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens and the Staten Island Greenbelt (one of the truly hidden treasures of the Big Apple). Also featured during the screening will be "It's My Park," a NYC life series which offers overviews, activities, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of many of NYC's most beautiful green spaces throughout the five boroughs.
The screening will be on Tuesday, June 29th at 8pm. It will take place at the Al Oerter Recreation Center at 131-40 Fowler Ave., Queens, New York.
