ABC's THE YEAR WITH KATIE COURIC Airs Tonight

From political and economic revolutions and the death of a terrorist to a 72-day celebrity marriage and a royal wedding for the ages, 2011 has been an eventful year. Anchored by Katie Couric, ABC News and People are collaborating on THE YEAR WITH KATIE COURIC, an unprecedented two-hour primetime broadcast special with details on these and all the other big stories of the past year - from the everyday heroes who inspired a nation to the public figures who fell from grace; from the fresh faces who had breakthrough years in entertainment to the icons who said goodbye after years of success.

Couric's reports will cover everything from fashion to law, and include interviews with newsmakers, celebrities and other guests who have a uniquely humorous take on the past year's top stories. The special airs THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
