According to Krystal International Vacation Club, this year's Cancun Half-Marathon will be held on March 6. Held on International Women's Day, this competition offers both a half-marathon and 10k. Age categories for men are 18 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59 and 60 and over; the same age categories apply to women. Prizes are to be awarded as well, adds Krystal Cancun Timeshare.

The half-marathon begins at 6:30 am, while the 10k begins at 6:45 am. Krystal Cancun Timeshare notes the importance of arriving ahead of schedule to allow plenty of time. Entrants are to start the race in town of Tajamar Malecon. Krystal International Vacation Club explains there is a three-hour time limit to complete the race to avoid the street closure for longer than necessary.

Runners can pick race packets up the Saturday before the race at the Runner's Expo at Malecon Cancun Tajamar between 11 am and 7 pm. Registrants receive a t-shirt and have access to water stations along the course. Those who cross the finish line will also earn a medal.
