"Since JetBlue first came to town in 2001, when LGB had little commercial service, Long Beach has been the cornerstone of JetBlue's success and growing route map in the western U.S.," said Dave Clark, vice president network planning at JetBlue. "With its convenient and unique open-air terminal and easy access to many Southern California communities and attractions, Long Beach is a top choice for JetBlue travelers. We're thrilled to offer our customers here even more convenience and options with new service and new flights."
New Nevada Nonstop
New nonstop service to Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) will begin August 15, 2016. Reno becomes the twelfth city served nonstop at Long Beach. Flights are on sale beginning today with an introductory fare that gives a historic nod to the year of the 1859 Comstock silver rush near Reno. One-way fares start at $59 and are available through March 24, 2016 (a).
The new route will provide a convenient link between Southern California and Reno's attractions and growing business climate, as well as the surrounding mountains, lakes and ski resorts the region is known for. The new route will also build on JetBlue's success in "The Biggest Little City in the World" where the airline first launched service last spring with flights to New York (JFK), the only nonstop route to the east coast from Reno-Tahoe.
