The Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership (HTCP) will host its 3rd Annual Awards Reception, "Celebrate Stapleton". Showcasing the best of Stapleton, HTCP's event will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Tappen Park from 7:00pm-10:00pm, sponsored by URL (Urban Ready Life).
This year, Historic Tappen Park will recognize Stapleton's most influential community leaders in economic development, business, art and education. The awards will honor individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in the Stapleton community. In addition to local honorees, among those being recognized is the former President of NYC Economic Development, Kyle Kimball, who spearheaded the massive redevelopment of Staten Island's North Shore waterfront - including Stapleton's new waterfront development, Urban Ready Life (URL) by Ironstate Development.

Guests will have an opportunity to get a "Taste of Stapleton" which seeks to highlight the neighborhood's diverse eateries. It will include foods from four local restaurants: Bay House Bistro (Asian Fusion), Lakruwana (Sri Lankan), Vida Restaurant (World Cuisine) and Chez Vous Caterers.
There will be the cocktail performance by Nelida Tirado Flamenco, and post ceremony dance party with the Bandulos!
