Brooklyn Bowl Opens in Las Vegas

By: Mar. 11, 2014

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, described as "a temple of live music, bowling, food and drink" by Las Vegas Weekly and "an 80,000 square foot wonderland" by The Las Vegas Sun, is now open at The LINQ in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

Following a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 7 with founders Peter Shapiro and Charley Ryan and Blue Ribbon co-owner, and partner Bruce Bromberg, the first concert at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas featured the New York-based soul/jazz fusion trio Soulive, whose members have played the original Williamsburg venue more than fifty times.

"It was an amazing experience to open in Las Vegas while staying true to our Brooklyn roots." said founder Peter Shapiro "It was really important to us to have a band like Soulive open this venue. It's paying homage to where we came from, and sets the vibe for what we are going to do in Las Vegas going forward. We really want to create a home for live music lovers, and based on the many people who hugged me this weekend, I think we have created that."

After being the first to play the new venue Soulive founding member, Eric Krasno, who has played in hundreds of venues around the world over the past fifteen years, came away from the opening weekend blown away. "As someone who has been fortunate enough to play at Brooklyn Bowl in NYC and London I was really excited to see Brooklyn Bowl on steroids in Vegas," Kranso said. "I expected a great venue but it's so over the top that I don't even know what to say. It's the best venue that we have ever played."

Spanning 80,000 square feet and able to accommodate more than 2,000 concertgoers, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas is one of the largest dedicated music venues in America. In addition to the music lineup, the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas experience is complemented by five bars that feature 12 beers on tap, including craft brews and Brooklyn offerings and rocking comfort food by world-renowned Bromberg Brothers Blue Ribbon Restaurants, including their iconic Fried Chicken seen on Food Network's "The Best Thing I Ever Ate."

Bowling lanes will be available for rent during the day from 11:00 a.m. until close beginning Monday, March 17. All-ages bowling will be available daily from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Restaurant-style service featuring the full menu will be available at each lane.

Brooklyn Bowl New York made their mark by booking some of the biggest and best acts on the planet including Kanye West, Paul Simon, Snoop Dogg, Bob Weir, The Roots, The Neville Brothers, Guns N'Roses, Warren Haynes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Adele, Galactic, and Portugal among others.
