Bible History Exhibit Opens in Lancaster County

The Institute for Biblical and Scientific Studies' Bible History Exhibit has its grand opening on Friday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m.

The opening exhibit will feature the recreations of the renowned Dead Sea Scrolls including the famous Great Isaiah scroll, the Psalms, the Copper Scroll, and the Pesher on Habakkuk. Other highlights include replicas such as: the shroud of Turin, the Pilate description, the Rosetta Stone, key tablets related to Genesis, and artifacts related to the Exodus in Egypt. Experience the Bible like never before. Be able to see and touch artifacts from the ancient world and better understand the context of the Biblical Stories. Who needs to travel across the world to the museums of Israel, London, and Cairo when so many key archaeological finds pertaining to the Bible are in your back yard?

For the hands-on adventurers, there will even be a simulated archaeological dig site. Be an archaeologist for a day and learn the basic principle archaeology. Have fun and learn at the same time. Keep what you find. Artifact pits include: dinosaur bones, sharks' teeth, fossils, and many beautiful stones and minerals.

"We are trying to make the Bible come alive by seeing hands on the great archaeological discoveries of the past century," said Dr. Stephen C. Meyers, president of The Institute for Biblical and Scientific Studies. "Dr. Meyers.

The Institute for Biblical and Scientific Studies' Bible History Exhibit will be open weekly from Thursday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children over 4 years old.
