The 2014 Garden of Eden Ball, the Atlanta Botanical Garden's largest annual fundraiser, celebrates the Garden's planned expansion as well as its highly anticipated opening of a satellite garden in Gainesville, Georgia.
Set for Saturday, September 27, this year's black-tie gala, chaired by Roger Smith and Christopher Jones, honors lifetime trustee Anne Cox Chambers.
The event begins with cocktails in Levy Parterre, followed by a seated dinner and dancing in a tented ballroom on the Great Lawn. The tent will be transformed by Parties to Die For into a beautiful woodland for the theme, "Into the Woods," highlighting new enhancements planned in 2015 for Storza Woods, the Garden's wooded acreage on the Midtown campus. It also celebrates next year's opening of the first phase of a new extension garden in Gainesville on land donated by Lessie Smithgall and her late husband Charles.
Cox Enterprises is the presenting sponsor for the ball. For ticket and sponsorship information, contact Cindy Chapman at cchapman@atlantabotanicalgarden.org.
