The majority of IL/IN travelers (76 percent) plan to travel domestically, 7 percent of travelers are planning international travel and 17 percent plan to travel both internationally and domestically. The top five types of vacations for IL/IN travelers include: city travel (46 percent), beach vacation (32 percent), international travel (21 percent), resort/all inclusive (18 percent) and National/State Park (18 percent).

The AAA Consumer Pulse Survey was conducted online among residents living in Illinois and Indiana from January 26, 2015 - February 4, 2015. A total of 405 residents completed the survey. The survey has a maximum margin of error of ± 4.9 percentage points.
