Vista Kicks Release Music Video for LIVE, YOU'RE GONNA DIE Today, New Album Out Today

Take a trip into the rolling sand dunes with VISTA KICKS in the band's music video for their latest single, "Live, You're Gonna Die," out today (6/26). The track is the latest offering from the Los Angeles-based indie rock 'n roll group's forthcoming full-length album, TWENTY SOMETHING NIGHTMARE, due Friday, July 13 via their own Little Hook Records. Click here to watch the new video directed by Dimitri Voytilla and shot along the California coast.

"Live, You're Gonna Die" follows the previously released double-singles offTWENTY SOMETHING NIGHTMARE: "Victim of The Times"/"Live, You're Gonna Die" (click here to listen via Spotify) and "Million Dollar Seller Pt1/Pt2" and "Numbers" (click here to listen). This coming Friday (6/29),VISTA KICKS will offer up another double-song single from the album, "If I didn't have You"/"I Can't Think of Anybody But U." Fans can pre-save the single on Spotify here.

In a bold move that's in line with the band's free spirit, VISTA KICKS released the album's lead double-single--"Million Dollar Seller Pt1/Pt2" and"Numbers"--on May 31 into the public domain, making the songs available without a copyright so anyone can use them without needing to pay a fee to the band. The band's Derek Thomas told FORBES.com, "We're trying it out. It's a social experiment for us...we really believe in it. We believe in the power of public domain." Thomas added: "I think the world misses out on a lot of really awesome art that could've been made if artists weren't in the circumstance of compromising their beliefs for money or for investment."

For the upcoming 18-track album TWENTY SOMETHING NIGHTMARE, co-produced by the quartet--Thomas (vocals), Sam Plecker (guitar/vocals),Trevor Sutton (bass), and Nolan Le Vine (drums)--VISTA KICKS once again amplifies the scope of their signature style as they maintain the edge that made them, "The Originators of Booty Shaking Rock N' Roll," proving to be a seamless follow-up to 2017's well-received Booty Shakers Ball album.

Earlier this month, VISTA KICKS performed four songs, including the new album's title track, with Jam In The Van (watch here) and spoke to Los Angeles' KTLA-TV about their music and live show (watch here) as they prepare for their upcoming gigs. Starting tomorrow night (6/27) in Costa Mesa, CA at The Wayfarer, the band will set out on a run of West Coast shows which include a headlining show at The El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles onSeptember 20 and performance at KAABOO Del Mar in San Diego (all dates below).

About VISTA KICKS:

VISTA KICKS--four lifelong friends from Northern California who grew up obsessed with the sounds of AC/DC, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, The Bee Gees and Michael Jackson--began playing anywhere and everywhere with a stage by the age of 16, taking over supper clubs, parties, and backyard barbecues. After their single "Make It Real" cracked 2 million Spotify streams, they made a collective decision to forego college and trade their small Sacramento suburb for Hollywood, forming VISTA KICKS in late 2015.

Living together in a cramped one-bedroom apartment, the quartet--Derek Thomas (vocals), Sam Plecker (guitar/vocals), Trevor Sutton (bass), andNolan Le Vine (drums)--quietly ignited a buzz throughout L.A. and beyond with two full U.S. tours under their belts. Within a year, the band's independent2016 Chasing Waves EP and additional singles generated over 5 million cumulative Spotify streams and 3.2 million YouTube views. However, everything set the stage for the release of their 2017 full-length debut, BOOTY SHAKERS BALL--self-produced by the musicians themselves and engineered by their guitar player and vocalist Sam Plecker. Best described as a smoked-out collaboration between James Brown and Jimmy Page, it bridges eras.
