VIDEO: First Listen: Macklemore and Ryan's New Single 'Stay at Home Dad'

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are at it again. The duo who has brought us the global hits 'Thrift Shop' and 'Can't Hold Us' have released a new song for all the dads out there. The new song is called 'Stay at Home Dad' and it is as poignant as ever.

This new song is set over a slow-moving, piano beat sampled from CoCoRosie's 'By Your Side.' If you are familiar with their other songs the beat is vintage Macklemore & Lewis. Macklemore & Lewis have been known to rock the boat on social issues and here they challenge societal gender roles. They say that its perfectly ok if the woman wants to bring home the paycheck, while the man plays Mr. Mom. Lyrics like 'You're getting your degree/ You're going to college/ I'm making music and hoping that Kanye puts me on/ But if I don't make it, baby/ Will you be mad at me/ If I just chilled at home as your stay-home-daddy?' drive home the song's central theme.
