Z2 Entertainment is proud to present Tycho at the Fox Theatre on Monday, November 4th, 2013. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 28th at 12:00pm for $20.00 in advance and $22.00 day of show.

Tycho and Thievery Corporation have been fans of each other's material for a while now. It makes sense that the two would come together for a split co-release on Ghostly International and Thievery's own ESL Music label. Side A sees Tycho takes Thievery's "Fragments," originally released on 2011's Culture of Fear, on a synth swirl ride with shades of guitar riffs that create a candy cane-like visual experience. Meanwhile, Rob Garza of Thievery fame grabs the mellow "Ascension," taken from 2012's Dive, and makes a slightly dark dance track with hand claps. Hearing both remixed and original tracks side by side makes it obvious that both artists come from the same lineage of music making.

Tycho is the music project of San Francisco artist and producer Scott Hansen. As Tycho, Hansen blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples, creating rolling sonic landscapes that extend into the horizon. Known in the design world as ISO50, Hansen is famed for his bucolic, sun-drenched design style, which serves as a backdrop and mirror for his musical output.
