Top Irish Dance Act LE GALAXIE Release New Single DAY OF THE CHILD

One of Ireland's top live electronic bands, LE GALAXIE charges into the U.S. today (February 23) with "Day Of The Child," a track driven by synth leads to send the dance-floor into a frenzy. Called "...architects of exuberant electropop..." by the Irish Times, they are set to release their third studio album PLEASURE through Red River Entertainment April 6. The track made its debut today via BlackBook here.

Recorded in their Dublin studio with Swedish ultra producer Blende, Pleasurepoints to LE GALAXIE's evolution from purveyors of dance floor bangers to creators of well-crafted songs. It is LE GALAXIE's dream of a truly great studio dance record made manifest. The titular first single "Pleasure" was teased in 2017. A dangerously charged sensuous slice of dance pop featuring the vocals of Mary Kay, it is a calling card for an album that sees the band producing a new body of work to be enjoyed as much between your ears as between the throbbing floors and laser lit ceilings of venues and festivals across Ireland, Europe and beyond.

Prior to the release of Pleasure, LE GALAXIE-who is Michael Pope (vocals, synths), Dave McGloughlin (synths, bass), Alistair Higgins (drums), Anthony Hyland (keys, guitar) and May Kay Gegharty (vocals)--will cross the Atlantic to make two appearances during SXSW at the Velveeta Room onMarch 15 and the Full Irish Breakfast event at D.B. Riley's on March 16.

LE GALAXIE have spent the past seven years claiming their title as Ireland's best live act, honing their craft across venues and festivals across the land and recordings like their debut album, Laserdisc Nights II and it's follow up Le Club, which was mixed by LA-based DFA guru Eric Broucek. In doing so, the five-piece band has had a multiplier effect, going from a cult following to a force. Having brought festivals across Europe like Lovebox, Benicassim, The Great Escape, Transmusicales and Electric Picnic on their feet and dancing, it is time to bring LE GALAXIE party to album. Pleasure is released on April 6.
