Advance tickets are now available for patrons looking to purchase entry to the music event of the Fall in New York, a musical collaboration of epic proportions joining together master Broadway tunesmith Stephen Sondheim and celebrated jazz musician Wynton Marsalis, titled A BED AND A CHAIR.

MasterCard holders may now take advantage of a special pre-sale through September 2. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public on September 3 at 11 AM.

Directed by John Doyle and conceived originally by Peter Gethers, Jack Viertel and Doyle, A BED AND A CHAIR, subtitled "A New York Love Affair," showcases sterling songs by Sondheim reinvented and reinterpreted by Marsalis featuring a cast of vocalists and dancers. The show runs November 13 through 17 at City Center.

The official description of A BED AND A CHAIR is as follows: "A BED AND A CHAIR: A New York Love Affair celebrates love in New York and love of New York. For this original production, native Manhattanite Sondheim and adopted citizen Marsalis (originally from New Orleans) compared musical notes on their shared passion for our city. The program will feature more than two dozen Sondheim compositions, each piece newly re-imagined by the unique musical sensibility of Marsalis and performed by Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Performers will be drawn from both the jazz and Broadway worlds."
