Theatre IV's 'Bremen Town Band' Plays The Alden in McLean Today

Theatre IV of Richmond's musical production, "Bremen Town Band," will be presented at The Alden at the McLean Community Center for one showing only at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 11. Tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for MCC tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

A menagerie of unlikely friends, including a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster, sets off in search of musical stardom in the German town of Bremen. Making their own kind of "oom-pah" music, along the way they manage to outwit a gang of robbers and find themselves a wonderful new home. Audience members will tap their toes at this delightful musical adaptation of the famous Grimm fairy tale. Book and lyrics are by Doug Jones; music is by Ron Barnett. The production is appropriate for children age 4 and older.
