Tech N9ne's PLANET Album Lands #1 On Multiple Charts + PLANET TOUR Kicks Off In April

The most successful independent rapper of all-time, Strange Music co-founder and platinum-certified titan, Tech N9ne, dominates multiple charts with his 20th full-length album, Planet.

Sending sonic shockwaves throughout the musical universe and beyond, the record bows at #1 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart, #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and #1 on the Top Indie Albums Chart. Additionally, it captures #2 on the Top Albums Chart and #14 overall according to soundscan. This marks his fourth non-consecutive number one on the Top Rap Albums Chart.

About the success, Tech comments, "Once again, the 'Technicians' showed up with unmatched love and support like only they can. I wanted to build a new galaxy and era with Planet. I can say we did that!"

Planet remains a critical success as well. HotNewHipHop awarded it a rare 83% score and claimed, "Tech has managed to maintain the lyrical and musical intensity of a man half his age, an intensity that many people never even reach." Billboard wrote, "the veteran wordsmith is welcoming Earthlings to a new Planet with his latest album," and The Sourcesummed it up as "one of his most versatile albums in 20 years as he seamlessly combines political commentary with party essential club anthems."

Next up, he launches the Planet Tour with support from Krizz Kaliko, Just Juice, King Isoand Joey Cool.

Rapid fire bars locked and loaded, business acumen on point, and surrounded by one of the most diehard fan bases in music history, Tech N9ne quietly earned the title of the "most successful independent rapper of all-time" on his own terms. The rap icon and Strange Music co-founder landed a platinum plaque with the signature "Caribou Lou" and two gold-certified anthems in the form of "Fragile" [feat. Kendrick Lamar, ¡Mayday!, & Kendall Morgan] and "Hood Go Crazy" [feat. B.o.B & 2 Chainz]. To date, he has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles, notching four Top 10 entries on the Billboard Top 200. Additionally, he has sold out shows worldwide, touring nonstop. Regularly landing on Forbes' "Cash Kings," he also graced the cover of XXL in 2017. Everyone from Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Wayne to members of Slipknot, System of a Down, Deftones, and Korn has joined him for collaborations. Day by day, his independent EMPIRE and influence continue to grow, reaching a new galaxy altogether on 2018's critically acclaimed, chart-topping Planet.
