Symphonic Distribution Expands to Colombia and Nashville
A music distribution and marketing powerhouse built by independent artists for independent artists, Symphonic Distribution distinguishes itself by having no corporate entities dictating its direction or decisions. Over the years, Symphonic has worked with new and established artists and record labels from Deadmau5, Bassnectar, and Ozuna to Waka Flocka Flame, Tito El Bambino, Alok, and more.
The company has grown exponentially since its inception in 2006, when it was founded in the CEO's parents' home. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and with offices in Brooklyn, New York, and Denver, Colorado, Symphonic has recently announced the expansion of its LATAM footprint into Bogota, Colombia. The company also announced its expansion into Nashville, Tennessee.
"Symphonic has always had its eyes on expanding in locations that we see as unique and inspiring. It was a natural decision and apart of our plan to look to expand to Colombia and Nashville. Having individuals and presence in these regions will better position the company for success and enable us to continue our mission of being a distributor with a very personalized approach and one that is aiming to help develop and grow record of artists, record labels, managers, and more," said Symphonic Distribution CEO Jorge Brea.
"By expanding in Colombia, this means that we'll have a stronger presence in the Latin American market to echo our efforts in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and South America, and make it easier for us to engage with the talent that is based in Colombia as well as nearby territories," Brea continued. "Our goal is to educate and provide fair deals, especially to those that we have seen that haven't had that opportunity in the past with our competitors."
Headed up by Symphonic Distribution's VP of Business Development, Randall Foster - an executive with years of experience in Distribution, Publishing, and Sync Licensing - the expansion in Nashville will make these areas a much more integral part of the business. "In addition," Brea says, "we've always felt that distribution companies in the Nashville region could do a better job at connecting with the industry and market there and thus our aim is to get as close to possible to songwriters, artists, publishers, and labels in the region and help give them tools that actually turn into successes."
Since its inception, Symphonic has become one of the leading independent music distribution and marketing companies in the industry. Distributing over 1 million releases of over 250,000 artists and record labels to retail and streaming platforms such as iTunes, TIDAL, Beatport, Spotify, and many more. Their services have also expanded over the years. Today, Symphonic offers a full suite of services covering strategic marketing and release planning, publishing administration, music video distribution, sync licensing, comprehensive graphic design, recoupable budgets and a wide range of other services for their clients.
