Post Animal Reunites With Band Co-Founder, Stranger Things' Joe Keery, For New Music Video

Chicago neo-psych rock band Post Animal released their critically acclaimed self-written, performed and produced debut album When I Think Of You In A Castle earlier this year via Polyvinyl, and today they share the music video for the album's lead single "Ralphie." Band co-founder Joe Keery, known for his role as Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, recorded the album with his bandmates and sings vocals on "Ralphie," but has remained a largely inactive member due to his busy acting schedule. While touring hasn't been in the cards, we're treated to Keery rejoining his friends at the Oasis for the final scene of their new music video. "Oasis is anywhere you can get together with all your buds," Post Animal say about the music video. "Over the last few years a lot has changed for our band and we have learned to really appreciate the time we get to spend with one another. It was great to come full circle and catch up with Joe for this video, and we had a blast doing it." Watch "Ralphie" exclusively via Apple Music HERE.

Post Animal have made a name for themselves as one of Chicago's most exciting up-and-coming bands, with killer festival performances at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and having toured with the likes of Twin Peaks, Wavves, and White Reaper. The band recently wrapped a U.S. headline tour, but you can catch them at a few more festivals before the year is out, as well as just-announced hometown show in Chicago in December. Tickets for that show go on-sale 8/24. See below to find a show near you, and get your tickets HERE.

The product of six friends exploring their affinity for slick riffs, pop hooks, and psychedelic flourishes, When I Think Of You In A Castle is a record that almost didn't get made. "Before this album, we weren't sure what the future of the band was going to look like. I was considering moving to Los Angeles and Joe [Keery] was off filming Stranger Things. We didn't know where we were all going but we knew we wanted to make an album with all of us in the same room," explains drummer Wesley Toledo. When the band - comprised of friends from childhood, the local music scene, and hometown burger joints - found the time to go to a lake house in Michigan to record, magic happened and When I Think Of You In A Castle was born.
