Orignal Teen Idol Bobby Rydell 'In Conversation' with Rolling Stone, 7/27

Original Teen Idol BOBBY RYDELL is currently enjoying a nationwide "Special Events & Book Tour" and career renaissance behind his acclaimed new autobiography, "Teen Idol on the Rocks," but that's not all. The "Justin Bieber of the Camelot Era" continues to maintain the same live concert pace with his solo tours and 30-years-strong "Golden Boys" shows with fellow South Philly teen idols Frankie Avalon and Fabian.

Following his triumphant concert under the stars last week headlining Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing, Rydell moves into the interviewer's chair at the 92Y for a special "In Conversation" session with Rolling Stone contributing editor Anthony DeCurtis on Wednesday, July 27 at 8 p.m.(Listing details below).

It's truly Rydell in the rarest of elements - intimate conversation, a select number of songs with just grand piano accompaniment, and more surprises. It's another step forward in the accelerated career pace he's been enjoying since the book's recent release.
And this week, Rydell marked the four-year anniversary of his miraculous survival from double organ transplant (liver and kidney) surgery, with no guarantees he'd ever be able to perform again. And did you know he's also since had heart and shoulder surgery, and a hip replacement? None of his melody maladies have affected his chops, and the fire to perform is burning better than ever!
