On Friday night, fans came out in full force for the iHeartRadio Album Release Party with Niall Horan at the iHeartRadio Theater LA, celebrating his new album, Flicker. During the live event that included a Q&A session with host JoJo Wright, Horan performed a selection of new songs including "Seeing Blind," "Flicker," and "Mirrors," as well as fan favorites such as "Slow Hands" and "This Town." Check out the highlights below!

Highlights:

When asked by host JoJo Wright why it took a full year to put Flicker together, Horan admitted that he just doesn't have a stop button. He actually went through about twenty mixes of "Slow Hands" before getting it right! Effectively producing the song while creating it, Horan recorded everything with a full live band, spending days on each song, and making sure every detail was perfect.

Want to know why "Flicker" is the title track and the title of the album? Horan revealed, "The song "Flicker" means a lot to me. It was a real turning point in the making of the album and a very poignant moment where I veered off in a different direction. I had started writing up-tempo songs like "Mirrors," "On The Loose," "The Tide," but after I wrote "Flicker" I started writing songs like "Paper Houses," and "Fire Away". It's one of those songs that I'm really proud of and that I'll never get bored of playing live. It's one of those 'career songs' if you know what I mean. To me it stands out."

If you ever wanted to know who Niall's go-to person for honest feedback, don't look too far. Horan lives with his cousin and often plays his new material for him since his cousin has a good musical ear. He said that it's nice to get an opinion when the material is fresh and has just been written.

Horan spoke about one of his biggest new hits, "Slow Hands" saying, "I knew what I wanted it to sound like musically and then the lyrics came afterwards. I'm not used to writing songs of that style. To be honest, not many people my age are used to doing that because it is a unique sound from many decades ago. I think that's why it stood out on the charts. While writing you can tell the different between a good and a bad song, and I knew this song was different, but no way did I think it would take the life that it has over the last 30 weeks. It's grown into a monster... It's been a wild year for me because of that song."

Horan introduced "Mirrors" saying, "I know that a lot of young ladies' struggle within themselves sometimes, and I just wanted to write a song and put a little light on that to let everyone know they are not on their own."

Fans in the crowd held up an Irish flag for the final song "On My Own".
