Neue Meister Label Hosts A Night Of Classical Music And Electronics Fusion

The eighth edition of the Neue Meister concert series presents a fusion of classical music and electronics, performed by the masters of genre. The event is hosted by DRIVE: Volkswagen Group Forum, a remarkably versatile space at the bullseye of the city's central Berlin-Mitte district.

Moritz von Oswald, central figure of the Berlin techno scene as one half of the legendary Basic Channel, presents his spectral composition "Metametric 1.1". Gabriel Prokofiev, the forerunner of the neo-classical movement, performs his work "Terra Incognita" smashing the boundaries between Russian classical music and dark electro. Pyanook, a revolutionary form of avant-garde music by Ralf Schmid, combines technology and music. Neue Meister presents the premiere of his piece "Aira & Everything in Its Right Place", which is performed in Berlin for the first time with the use of high-tech music gloves (developed by Imogen Heap). After collaborations with artists such as Olafur Arnalds or Peter Broderick, CEEYS release their debut album on Neue Meister "WÆNDE", dedicated to their childhood memories and the history of Berlin. The composition "Union & Fall" features piano and cello sounds, which merge into expressive rhythms.
