Written and recorded between tours with Sugar & The Hi-Lows, Nashville singer/songwriter Amy Stroup returns with her 2nd full length solo album, Tunnel, on February 4, 2014.

For Amy, Tunnel represents, "a process of healing and a place to express the small self actualizing truths I've learned over the last couple of years."

A self-described "serial writer," - she was named one of Prairie Home Companion's "Top 20 Songwriters Under 30" - Amy collaborated with an array of producers, co-writers and musicians to bring Tunnel to the light.

Producers Thomas Doeve (The Other Side of Love Sessions) and Konrad Synder (Sugar & The Hi-Lows) both offered unique perspectives, bridging her past solo work and band collaboration, to create a sophisticated sound that highlights Amy's "salted-caramel voice." (-Marie Claire)

Tunnel begins with "Finally Found Our Way," rich with its 80's undertones and inspired by Martika's "Toy Soldiers". "Versailles" draws from its namesake. Built during some of France's golden years, it's an expression for the fear that the golden years passed won't happen again.

A co-founder of a full service creative company called Milkglass Creative (http://milkglasscreative.com) , Stroup and her business partner Mary Hooper serve as a creative think tank that specializes in artist branding, art direction, book cover design, and album design.

"I will say the work I do with Milkglass fuels a lot of my creative energy and provides a unique synergy that feeds my music."

By branding her sound, Amy's been highly sough after for film and television placements. "Falling," the first single released September 17th, was featured on "Vampire Diaries" and "Far From Yesterday," the second single, (out 12/3) - on "Pretty Little Liars," "Switched at Birth," and "The Vineyard."

For the next month, "Fireflies" and "Just You," from her 2011 release The Other Side Of Love Sessions, will be featured in Zales 2013 Holiday Commercial campaign.

In February, Amy and her Sugar & The Hi-Lows cohort Trent Dabbs collaborate with the Nashville Ballet company for an original ballet set to the iconic music of Johnny Cash and performance by Sugar & The Hi-Lows, in a daring combination of music and dance. (http://sugarandthehilows.com)
