Meet A.U.R.A., The Rising Folk Artist From New Zealand

A.U.R.A. releases "Immensely I", the vivid and rather twinkly third single from the upcoming album Secret Intelligent Light. Atwood Magazine, who premiered the song along with an incredible write-up, praised the tracks world swallowing beauty and named A.U.R.A. an Artist to Watch.

In a statement, lead singer-songwriter Albert Mikolaj describes the song as "An elegy for rebirth. The song is redolent of glowing psychedelic pop, almost deliberately subdued by a euphonic counter-point vocal pattern."

Immensely I is driven by strong drum beats, punchy bass and afro infused guitar riffs, reminiscent of Paul Simons' landmark release, Graceland. Mikolaj's lyrics offer a very tender confession, saying of the verse, "It's a raw reflection of my wild, unbounded core-self being slowly eroded by the emotional pain of growth."

To celebrate the forthcoming album release on March the 8th, A.U.R.A is excited to announce the SIL Tour which commences 5th of April.

Joined by Ben Lemi (French for Rabbits, Trinity Roots, Dawn Diver), Deanne Krieg (Ida Lune, Congress of Animals) and Samuel Austin on live duties, the SIL Tour will take in some of New Zealand's favourite boutique venues, transforming them into the perfect backdrop to experience this psychedelic folk quartet. Tickets are available from Undertheradar.co.nz.
