Lisa Hearns Comes To The Kitano 7/7

Lisa Hearns, one of today's most sophisticated and talented voices in jazz, will perform two sets at the Kitano, on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Part of the evening will focus on celebrating the music of Bill Evans; Hearns will also share some of her favorite songs with the audience, including selections by Alan & Marilyn Bergman.
Hearns is backed by some of today's finest jazz musicians including the incomparable veteran jazz pianist Don Friedman, virtuoso bassist and musical director Kelly Friesen, and her amazing drummer Taro Okamoto.Her recent album "I Got It Bad & That Ain't Good" was produced by six-time Grammy award winner Elliot Scheiner, who said "The first time I ever heard Hearns sing, I knew I had to work with her. She has a most identifiable voice and an artistic approach to performing unlike anyone I've ever worked with."Wednesday, July 7th
