Europe's Balkan/Gypsy music legends Fanfare Ciocarlia are in town to perform at the wildly successful globalFEST on Sunday, January 12th, 2014. The band is on at 9:40pm at the Ballroom Stage. The event is now sold out, but you can still get tickets for the band's other NY show at Drom on Tuesday, Jan 14th. (We will present at the APAP conference from Friday through Monday, 1/10-13 if you'd like to arrange for a meeting)

Fanfare's next tour coincides with the release of the brand new album "Devil's Tale" on Asphalt Tango Records. Their ninth album (all of their previous albums topped the European World Music charts) plays out like a secret Tarantino movie with hints of Django and features the Toronto-based guitarist Adrian Raso.

NEW Album "Devil's Tale" Released January 2014

"If Django Reinhardt had made his way to the Balkans and formed the Hot Club of Bucharest, the resulting music might have sounded a little like Devil's Tale." - The Milwaukee Express

"Devil's Tale," has inspired Fanfare Ciocarlia to raise their game. Meeting Toronto-based guitarist Adrian Raso switched up the Balkan brass's vocabulary to where their world collides with Jazz and Manouche. Adrian's wizardry guitar playing coupled with Fanfare's infectious frenetic style makes for a perfect charm.
