On Wednesday, November 20 2013, Kekuhi and Kaumakaiwa Kanaka'ole will present Hawaiian Song at Elebash Hall - 365 Fifth Ave between 34 and 35 Street, NYC In Partnership with Halawai: The NY Hawaiian Community. Doors at 6pm, Show at 7:00pm.

Tonight's performance offers a rare evening of contemporary and traditional Hawaiian music by the mother and son duo Kekuhi and Kaumakaiwa Kanaka'ole, the granddaughter and great-grandson of Edith Kanaka'ole, one of the more revered leaders of the "Hawaiian Renaissance" movement of the 60s and 70s that brought Hawaiian art, language and culture back into the active cultural life of the islands.

The Kanaka'oles will be joined by the multi-award winning artist and producer Shawn Pimental on guitar.
