Kean Stage presents the Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi at Wilkins Theatre tonight, October 20, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

The ultimate African drum experience! One of the greatest percussion ensembles in the world, the Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi have passed down their traditions and techniques to each generation for centuries. The thunderous sound of the drums combines with breathtakingly graceful athletic dances as the Drummers channel the pulsating rhythmic energy and creative spirit of a nation. Their “Burundi beat” has influenced musicians from Joni Mitchell in the 70s to Adam Ant in the 80s.

Tickets are $30 for the general public; $20 for seniors and children.

Kean University is located at 1000 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J. Tickets are available at the Wilkins Theatre Box Office, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J., 908-737-SHOW (7469), and online at www.keanstage.com.
