Responding to the racially motivated violent incident which occurred last month in Charlottesville, VA, Dave Matthews Band has announced an evening of music that will be free for members of the Charlottesville and University of Virginia communities via an online request.
Produced by Live Nation, Starr Hill Presents and the University of Virginia the concert will take place on Sunday, September 24, at UVA's Scott Stadium in Charlottesville and will feature Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, The Roots, Cage the Elephant and more. The selection of tickets will be prioritized to Charlottesville residents, UVA students, faculty and staff and residents of the adjacent counties. Online requests will be accepted until closing on Monday, September 11th at Noon ET.
A very limited allotment of tickets will be available at a no service fee, walk-up box office at John Paul Jones Arena beginning Friday, September 15th at 10:00 am. No one may line-up prior to 8:00 am on Friday, September 15th. For more information visit: http://www.concertforcharlottesville.com/
