The Mesa Arts Center welcomes talented and inspiring singer Justin Hines to the Nesbitt Elliott Playhouse Theater tonight, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. Beginning when he was 14 years old singing the National Anthem for both Canada and America at a Toronto Raptor's basketball game, Justin Hines has continued to inspire and amaze audiences for the past 15 years. Tickets are available through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at MesaArtsCenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.

When he performed at that Toronto basketball game, Justin Hines knew that music was not just his path, it was his destiny. He realized after that performance that he would not only survive, he could thrive in music, and his 15 year professional singing career has proved he was right. Then again, thriving and surviving have been a part of Justin's entire life. Justin Hines was born with Larsen Syndrome, a joint dislocation that confines him to a wheelchair.

Despite his physical challenges, Justin has performed across the globe, throughout Europe, the Middle East, China, and North America. He has performed at the Beijing Olympics, supported by Sheila E. the Vancouver Olympics, and the 2011 Pan Am Games in Mexico. Though he admits his condition has provided challenges, he has an extremely positive outlook and sees the good those challenges have brought him and the inspiration he can provide others. "There have been so many blessings. It's afforded me so many opportunities," he says.
