Rising singer Joshua Gray is no stranger to the spotlight -- once a model and actor, the 24-year-old Queensbury, N.Y. native is trading his modeling and acting chops for a singing career with the release of his first single from his forthcoming self-titled EP, "Call Me Crazy."
The EP, scheduled for a March 2011 release, is the result of collaboration with Gray's younger brother Travis, a rocker and songwriter with his own studio, Echo City Recording, also located in Queensbury. Gray wrote and recorded the four tracks that make up the Joshua Gray EP.
The single's music video is set in Gray's hometown against a colorful backdrop of fall leaves and sunshine, with him as the male lead playfully serenading a girl in his daydream. The video is directed by Joseph Minasi and premiered on YouTube.
In celebration of the release of his EP later this year, Gray will perform as a part of the Live at Best Buy concert series in New York City at their Chelsea location on Saturday, March 19 at 4 p.m. After the show, Gray will give away autographed copies of his EP. As a former student at the Boston Conservatory of Music, Gray is operatically-trained, having studied under Maria Callas trained opera singer Marko Lampas. In addition to singing, Gray has appeared in a number of runway shows, editorials and commercials for MTV and Comedy Central.
