Violinist Jennifer Koh will make her Mostly Mozart debut in a late-night duo recital with pianist Shai Wosner in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, August 24 at 10:30 pm. The all-Mozart program will include Sonata in E-flat major, K.481, Sonata in C major, K.303 and Sonata in B-flat major, K.454. Presented as part of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, the A Little Night Music series features recitals and chamber music in intimate, hour-long performances at the Kaplan Penthouse overlooking Lincoln Center with views of Manhattan.
Tickets for the performance are $45 and can be purchased online at MostlyMozart.org, by calling CenterCharge at (212) 721-6500, or by visiting the Avery Fisher Hall or AlIce Tully Hall box offices at Broadway and 65th Street.

Ms. Koh and Mr. Wosner are frequent recital partners and this season the duo will perform works by Janá?ek, Bartók and Brahms in Denver and Kansas City, among other U.S. cities. Following a recent performance together, during which the pair performed Mozart's Sonata in B-flat minor, Mary Kunz Goldman of The Buffalo News wrote: "...musically, they are immaculately matched. Every sixteenth note was on target. They had every tricky rhythm down pat, every sculpted silence. They entered on the same nanosecond. It was thrilling to hear...Wosner's rolled chords, gorgeously calibrated, melded beautifully with the violin's songlike tone. The [sonata's] last movement's finale brought a breathtaking display of tight virtuosity."

Ms. Koh has received international recognition for bringing her intellectual acuity and technical mastery to both the contemporary and traditional repertoire, and has been praised for her intense commanding performances and dazzling virtuosity. In addition to her Mostly Mozart performance, Ms. Koh's upcoming engagements in New York include Brahms's Double Concerto with Alisa Weilerstein with the Caramoor Festival Orchestra conducted by Pablo Herras-Cassado on July 30 and all six of Bach's Sonatas and Partitas performed in a single concert at the Academy of Arts and Letters presented by Miller Theatre on October 23.

Mr. Wosner, last heard at The Mostly Mozart in recital with violinist Christian Tetzlaff in 2007, is often praised for imaginative programming that communicates his intellectual curiosity. In the 2011-12 season, in New York, Mr. Wosner will play a duo recital with baritone Wolfgang Holzmair performing songs set Rilke's poetry by Ullmann, Mahler and Debussy at the 92nd Street Y on January 23; a recital with cellist Andreas Brantelid as a part of Lincoln Center's Great Performers series on April 1; and he will play Jorg Widmann's Fieberphantasie and Five Fragments with Mr. Widmann and the Parker Quartet at Zankel Hall on May 3. Mr. Wosner's second solo recording featuring works by Schubert that incorporate elements of folk music including Piano Sonatas D840 and D850, Six German Dances D820 and Hungarian Dances D817 will be released by Onyx on October 11, 2011.
