House of Blondes To Release New Album TIME TRIP with Alrealon Musique

Three years after their last album House of Blondes continue to develop their sound with progressive leaps and bounds. The duo still operates within long-form arrangements; tracks will extend accross space and time in a transcendent fashion, elongated themes are comprised of remarkably pleasant synthetic harmonies, but of course Time Trip will stretch even further than the band's previous output. Below you can find details on the release as well as links to stream and download the record. Time Trip is available on Vinyl LP, CD and digital formats, and there's a sweet bundle deal that includes all three formats plus a t-shirt.

Time Trip is House of Blondes' third record and their first with Alrealon Musique. Partly inspired by the first section of Daniel Boorstin's book The Discovers, it is a meditation on both the passage of time and humankind's attempt to define and quantify time's existence. 'Time Trip' is built on a foundation of both electronic and traditional instruments including analog and digital synthesizers, samplers, bass guitar, and electronic and acoustic drums. Sonically it exists near the intersection of pure, melodic music and pure, non-musical sound. Recorded over a two year period beginning in the Fall of 2015. Produced by House of Blondes in Mt Vernon, NY.

John Blonde and Chris Pace have been working together as House of Blondes since 2007. Both longtime fixtures in the New York music scene, as House of Blondes they have played shows with the likes of Psychic TV, Rapoon, and Eleven Pond, and have performed and collaborated numerous times with labelmates Pas Musique and The Use. Their music has been featured in independent films and their records have been carried in stores including New York's legendary Other Music and Berlin's Space Hall. Influences include Kraftwerk, Steve Reich, Brian Eno, Stereolab, and Jason Lytle, as well as the many New York based acts they've had the privilege to work with and to know. Albums include Clean Cuts (2012), Stranger Still (2015), and Time Trip (2018).
