Odd Us released his debut album The Tree and the River on August 20th, 2013. Produced by Tony Berg (Jesca Hoop, Ozomatli, Phantom Planet), the release is available digitally as well as physically alongside a limited edition Illustrated Book. Odd Us is the musical identity created by Los Angeles artist and musician Aras Baskauskas. The name Odd Us serves two purposes for Aras, both as phonetic direction for the pronunciation of his real name, and also as a reflection of his personal philosophy. "We are all strange," says Aras, "We are all quirky. We are all magical creatures and I think we are all a little odd."

The Tree and the River was written over a four year period starting with "Save Me" in the spring of 2009 and ending with "Old Walls" in April of this year. With the album and the book, Aras strove to create an experience for the listener that would impact them on several different levels. He wanted to take the very personal process of writing songs and music to a place that would allow him to share more with the listener and connect with them not only sonically but also visually and intellectually. In addition to the CD and the book, Odd Us has already released two music videos for the album - one for "Sword In The Stone" and one for the first single "Home."
