EMÆL Release Their Critically-Acclaimed Debut Album Glasswork

SoCal newcomers EMÆL release their critically-acclaimed debut albumGlasswork, premiering on Northern Transmissions. Glasswork showcases their talent and musicianship throughout the album, creating haunting and dramatic moments weaved together by strings and synths. Their unique fusion of classical melodies with pop sensibilities was called "Indie Chamber Pop" by San Diego's 91XFM, and makes for a sonically stunning debut.

Standout tracks "Yellowtail" and "Little Brown Cloud" showcase the bands ability to approach their indie rock music through a cinematic lens, while "The Boy Who Melts The Sun" is a seamless blend of modern and traditional motifs, inspired by the myth of Icarus, offering subtle yet powerful lyricism.

Glasswork is curious and reflective while maintaining complex and unpredictable moments. To create the album, EMÆL challenged themselves to step out of their comfort zone while maintaining their creative lyricism and sonic identity.

The five-piece band consists of Emmanuel Ventura-Cruess (vocals, cello, guitar),?Alyssa Cantal (vocals), Daniel Kristoff (keyboards),?Michael Womack (guitar, vocals),?and Joris Hoogsteder (drums.)
