The country recording duo, Dugger Band, will release its sophomore album, titled "EAST TENNESSEE SON,"* (Dugger Band Music) on February 16, 2018. Co-produced by brothers Jordan and Seth Dugger alongside Paul David, the recording project features six originals-tunes that recall hometown memories, irresistible, explosive relationships and living in the Millennial moment.
The tracks highlight traditional instrumentation (fiddle and guitar riffs) meshed with synth swells, electric organ, contemporary lyrics and production to lend a refreshing element of zest; EAST TENNESSEE SON sonically channels some of the brothers' pop/country influences including Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson and Brad Paisley. The title track, and debut single release from the album, "East Tennessee Son" is a reflective, warmly- painted hometown ode that spotlights a majestic panoramic view of the Smoky Mountains sheltering the streets below and captures the embracing welcome and comfortable familiarity of the place the Dugger brothers call "home." Noted as one of the most romantic songs the two have ever written, "For The Girl" is a vulnerable ballad of a rambling desperado who turns the page to become a better man "for the girl." In "Warning Label," the duo tells the tale of a man willing to move out of his comfort zone to take a chance on a tantalizing and desirable woman. Inspired by variations of the thousands of folks who post daring and adventurous videos on the Internet,"#doitforthestory" is a "rave to the digital age" featuring references to "all-things-millennial" (Netflix, Instagram and mirror selfies).Videos
