The pair began work on the production following their international success with both Mamma Mia and Chess. Kristina is the inspiring tale of one woman and her family's struggle in Sweden which results in their subsequent emigration to America in search of a better life. Along the way, they are met with many joys and hardships and offer a glimpse into the realities of immigrants to a still largely untamed America. The story is compassionately told through the stirring music, written by Benny Andersson and with lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus and Herbert Kretzmer. The cast is led by the original ‘Kristina'; Helen Sjöholm and features incredible performances from Russell Watson, Louise Pitre and Kevin Odekirk.The musical epic, which features 35 tracks, is a testament to the creative prowess of Andersson and Ulvaeus.
