Sam Smith fans, the wait is finally over! The songbird is officially back with his powerful new single 'Too Good At Goodbyes.'

This is his first release since 2015's Oscar winning song 'Writing's On The Wall' from the James Bond Film SPECTRE. The track was the first from the film series to hit No. 1 on the Official UK Singles Chart.

The single was penned by Smith, Tor Erik Hermansen, Jimmy Napes and Mikkel Storleer Eriksen.

In the piano-filled song, Smith sings about an unstable relationship. Some of the lyrics are: "But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry/And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry." Towards the end of the song, a choir comes in to accompany the singer which gives major chills.

What a way to make a return to the music world! We cannot wait for what's to come from this talented soul.

Smith also announced four intimate shows to celebrate the release of his upcoming album in Los Angles (September 11), New York (September 13), London (September 15), and Berlin (September 18). He will announce venues and ticket information at a later date.

The new record is the follow-up to his highly successful 2014 debut album 'In The Lonely Hour.' It went two-times platinum and spawned three Top 10 hits- 'I'm Not The Only One,' 'Stay With Me,' and 'Lay Me Down.'
