B52s' Kate Pierson Releases Debut LP On Vinyl at Barnes & Noble Today

Kate Pierson - iconic voice and founding member of the B52s, punk, new wave, genre-defying band, released her debut solo record, Guitars and Microphones earlier this year via Lazy Meadow Music/Kobalt Label Services. In celebration of Vinyl Day and the month long "Get Pop Cultured" promotion at Barnes & Noble, the critically acclaimed album has been made available on vinyl exclusively in-store and online nationwide beginning today. Kate will also make a special meet & greet appearance to sign CDs and vinyl at the Barnes & Noble in Kingston, NY tomorrow (7/25).
Produced by Tim Anderson (Ima Robot), Guitars and Microphones features Nick Valensi(The Strokes) on several tracks, with songs co-written by Sia, who executive produced the album. A revered pop icon, Kate's songs are rife with girl group wit, drama, and rejection of stereotypes, and her solo offerings are big songs with bigger meanings.
