With a sound that is built around upbeat rhythms, soft vocals, and synth melodies combined with effortless electronic R&B textures, 19 year old Atlanta native, Demo Taped recently arrived with dreamy new track, "Pack of Gum" via Billboard.

Today, he follows with the cute stop-start animation video for the song, directed by shy kids and premiering exclusively on PAPER Magazine. He also announced that his new EP, "Momentary" is arriving Feb 23, 2018 via 300 Entertainment.

"Pack of Gum" is another staggering installment in the rising artists already impressive catalogue, which has garnered over 7 million streams on Spotify, and seen him top the charts of the HypeMachine several times, and garner attention from major outlets including Complex, Noisey, NPR, Fader and Pigeons and Planes, who named him as a Top 20 Artist Under 20.

Having openly spoken about his personal struggles with depression and anxiety, Demo Taped aka Adam Alexander, explained how his new track also carries that theme. "It's about not wanting to be forgotten by someone you love. It's called 'Pack of Gum' because when my anxiety was at its peak, it affected me physically. Sometimes I would get sick and so I resorted to carrying around a pack of gum at all times." The meaning carries over to the video as well - "I've always loved how animation can convey and assign emotion to any sort of object. It can be silly and surreal, but also hold meaning. I'm so grateful to everyone that makes up shy kids and I'm so happy I've had the chance to work with them."

The song follows the release of his acclaimed single, "Insecure", which premiered on NPR. An R&B track with a gospel redux, "Insecure" was recorded in the church that his grandfather is the pastor of that was started by former slaves during the Civil Rights movement. His grandfather was close to Dr King and they marched together in Atlanta. Adam's father plays bass on the song and features musicians that play in the church that Adam grew up around.

????Demo Taped's highly anticipated EP, "Momentary" featuring "Pack of Gum" and "Insecure" arrives Feb 23 via 300 Entertainment.
