The Music Center's Outdoor Downtown Dance Series DANCE DTLA Kicks Off 6/23
The Music Center's Dance DTLA is an evening of dancing under the stars in various locations throughout Grand Park on Friday nights in the summer months, from June-September, 2017.
The series features Dance Downtown (7:00 - 11:00 p.m.), an open-air dance floor alongside a live band or DJ with top LA dance instructors providing beginner lessons for a different dance genre at each event. On alternating Friday nights, DJ Nights (9:00 - 12:00 a.m.), curated by influential artists and tastemakers who give voice to the dynamic, vibrant LA culture through music, dancing, arts and aesthetics, offers Angelenos the opportunity to dance the night away in Grand Park. July 7 - Dance Downtown: Line Dance/Two Step
July 14 - DJ Nights: Curated by Monalisa
July 21 - Dance Downtown: Bollywood
July 28 - DJ Nights: Curated by Valida
August 4 - Dance Downtown: Disco
August 11 - DJ Nights: Curated by Coleman
August 18 - Dance Downtown: Argentine Tango
August 25 - DJ Nights: Curated by Gavin Turek
September 1 - Dance Downtown: Salsa
This is a free event open to all ages. Picnicking is encouraged. Food and beverages will be available for purchase; no outside alcohol is permitted in the park. Parking is available in The Music Center lot, under the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, for $5.00 after 8:00 p.m.
